God’s message to the reader:

Question: The Story of the Fig Tree: In Chapter 5: Life in Heaven, when I asked you how plants propagate, God gave me the story of how He told a fig tree to stop bearing fruit and it did to illustrate how we grow plants in Heaven by miracle.

The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit.
